RAID THE FRIDGE: Ambition

Thu, 25 May 2017 18:30 - 23:00 PST

Kickstart Investment/Workspace

55 Paseo de Roxas, Urdaneta Village, Makati City

Description

You hustle. You double-down. You execute a plan of action you believe is sound based on your own experience, and from the collective experience of your peers, mentors, and even your investors. Basically, you know the what, the when, and how to achieve growth for your startup.

But in the rollercoaster ride of being a startup founder, have you ever paused and reflected: “Do I have the fuel that will drive bigger growth and success for my startup? If so, what does it look like so I'll know if I have it or not.”

“The Bigger, The Better”

At Kickstart, we believe that thinking bigger is necessary, along with purposive execution, for founders to succeed faster, and in multiple markets.

Fortunately, our May Raid The Fridge speaker is PENG T. ONG, Managing Director at Monk’s Hill Ventures (www.monkshill.com) and a member of the Kickstart Investment Committee, who will talk about the importance of AMBITION for a startup to achieve massive success.

At a recent Kickstart event, Peng shared that “lack of ambition” by startup founders is a recurring reason for declining potential investments.

Find out why

The importance (or lack of) of ambition among startup founders really resonated with the Kickstart team and so we felt it to be a relevant topic for our next Raid The Fridge event. Hopefully, Peng's talk on "ambition" will inspire startup founders to aim for more, and execute accordingly.

So do come over on May 25th, help us empty our fridge, and engage our speaker during his talk. It'll be awesome to hang out with you (again!), swap #startupPH stories, and discuss over beers stuff we’ve learned from Peng Ong.

See you,
The Kickstart Team
