Kickstart Investment/Workspace
55 Paseo de Roxas, Urdaneta Village, Makati City
The age of digital transformation continues to spread itself across all industries and communities at breakneck speed. To survive, we've seen companies and individuals — in various ways and forms —respond to the ensuing disruption by “innovating their way out it” and hope for digital success.
It takes a village to foster innovation
Unfortunately, the ever-increasing disruption in technology, systems and processes, as well as in customer behavior, demand different strategies, tactics, and skills for us to keep up.
At Kickstart, we’ve learned (in the course of our role as the corporate venture capital arm of Globe Telecom dealing with digital transformation from the outside-in) that a good response to digital disruption is “openness” — to new and diverse ideas, approaches, and a healthy respect for the new and untested, wherever it comes from.
So in the spirit of openness for the “new and diverse,” Kickstart as host is pleased to invite you to this week’s Raid The Fridge, 27 July (THU), 6:30pm-11pm, at 55 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City. Join the startup mixer and meet the international and local delegates of YouthHack Asia Summit, as well as the five startups representing the Globe Future Makers social innovation program.
Lightning pitches will happen and we hope that this becomes an opportunity for you to listen to their stories, learn a thing or two, and collaborate/offer help.
So, do come over: get ready to raid our fridge (that’s full of beers), and engage our diverse set of speakers. It'll be awesome to hang out with you over beers!
See you,
The Kickstart Team

YouthHack Manila x YouthHack Asia Summit Delegates
YouthHack is an international community of student startup organizations united by an advocacy to expose the youth to startups, technology, and entrepreneurship through localized programs and projects. In 2014, YouthHack organized the first ever hackathon for high school students in Metro Manila and since then has expanded to six other cities, regions, and countries - Philadelphia, CALABARZON, Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Malaysia, and Korea - and has held pitching and ideation competitions in Italy, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The past three years has seen YouthHack’s development as a community in terms of content, projects, and diversity.
This year, YouthHack culminates their three years of growth with "YouthHack Asia Startup Summit,” 27-31 July 2017. This summit is a student-focused conference on building student startup communities for student delegates from various countries in Asia. The vision of their conference is for students to take the lead in spreading the startup culture to their own communities and become a platform for international collaboration, cultural exchange, and awareness towards action.
The YouthHack Asia Startup Summit is co-organized by student startup organizations and communities in Manila.
