Description

Ho Ho Ho!

Welcome to the Christmas Edition of Raid The Fridge -- our final episode for 2018!

As the year draws to a close and you find yourself heading into a reflective mood — what were you happiest about (or the opposite!) for your startup, for yourself as an entrepreneur, or for your company or vocation — awesome news, we've booked a fantastic speaker at Raid The Fridge next week: a startup founder whose journey we hope will inspire you to keep calm and carry on.

Our speaker is PAUL RIVERA, co-founder and chief executive officer of Kalibrr — a recruitment platform for over 1.6M young professionals and 18,000+ companies in Southeast Asia.

Kalibrr was the third investment made by Kickstart Ventures in November 2012. Six years later, Kalibrr has grown from a seed-stage startup with a team of ~20 people to a Series A startup with a team of 120+ employees in two countries: the Philippines and Indonesia.

What will Paul share with the #startupPH community?

“We’ve entered the era of startups – an age of innovation, creativity, and grit. We’ve celebrated unicorns and heard of startups who have enjoyed successful rounds of investor funding. However, not a lot of people know how truly difficult it is to make a startup successful. How do you bring an idea to life? How do you bridge your product to the market? What roadblocks should you be wary of? What does it take to succeed?”

So come to Raid The Fridge on the evening of Thursday, November 29th and listen to Paul share his own personal journey of making Kalibrr to what it is today.

And yes, don't forget to help us empty our fridge: make new friends, reconnect with old friends, and swap #startupPH stories over beers.

Your Fridgemaster,

PIA BERNAL | Kickstart Community Manager
